Another multifaceted route leading through various scenic and sociocultural areas. The starting point is Rapperswil with its pitoresque old town with many arts and crafts shops, bars along the lake and castle on the hill. Don’t ask me about the sense of the huge words standing always on the market. The way leads 15 kilometers upwards to Rüti, along the river of Jona to Waid, and further to Goldingen, a rather rural area with many farms. The way down leads through the wonderful narrow Aabachvalley, with some waterfalls, little lakes and left cultural premises at the riverside. Unfortunately I did not have a mobile phone on me to add the area to Instagram. Especially since most of the southern coast of the Lake of Zurich is looking towards it and vice versa. Actually, that is how I found it. Finish in Uznach where you can roll the dice for the price in the bakery.
